Most backgammon sites contain paid ads for commercial backgammon servers and other various other services.

These servers skim a high percentage of your stake, and there are so many complaints about their service, payout policy and high charges that one wonders why people use them.

These high commissions make it almost impossible to win moeny.

Not only that, many players cheat by using computer software to assist, and by manipulating their ratings to appear to be weaker than they really are.

But if you just want to play and winning money is not the main objective, go for it!
